At Edinburgh Design School we pride ourselves on the quality of our teaching.

All of our teachers are fully qualified art trained potters with many years of teaching experience and all of our classes are taught in a supportive environment dedicated to creative practice with clay. Each class is structured at a discreet level so you can progress from complete beginner to intermediate, advanced and professional level classes. Our classes are delivered seven days a week over day, evenings and weekends so there are lots of opportunities to suit your timetable.

The Edinburgh Design School is a leading independent design school based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Founded in 2012, we aim to teach the next generation of creative potters the skills they need to work in the creative industries.

We are a Scottish Qualifications Authority Approved Teaching centre dedicated to delivering  high quality learning experiences across a range of learning pathways from beginners to intermediate and advanced classes. Whether you are interested to try something new or you are looking for a creative industries career we have the right course for you.

We host private sessions for individuals, corporate teams and pottery parties.

Whether you are looking for individual focused learning to improve your practice or a fun but focused team building workshop or simply a really memorable creative party we have a session to suit. Materials and firing costs are included.

Gift Vouchers are available for Introduction weekends, Private lessons and Foundation level 1 pottery courses.

They are a really popular with great feedback. We send you an e voucher, which can be printed and given as a gift at a celebration or event. They work really well for loved ones, colleagues and old friends.

Our Introduction weekend classes run every month and our Foundation classes run every eight weeks throughout the year so all you have to do once you have purchased your Voucher is to contact us to book into the next available class that suits you. Vouchers can be redeemed up to a year from purchase. Materials and firing costs are included in the cost.
