Introduction to Pottery
This weekend taster course is over two days and is a great introduction to pottery. The course is aimed at complete beginners who want to come and try.
COURSE TYPE | Day, Evening, Weekend, Part-time |
EXPERIENCE LEVEL | Beginner |
Overview
The course is practical and introduces you to a range of hand building, and decorating techniques and you will have the opportunity to try working on the wheel.
You will work in our pottery studio making a range of ceramic forms which you will learn to decorate and prepare for firing. You will edit your pieces choosing up to two for glaze decoration and firing. The two-day course allows time to try a range of creative and practical techniques and gives us time to ‘bisque’ fire in between classes. This is the one to take as a taster if you are not sure you want to commit to a longer class. The course is taught in a really relaxed, creative and supportive environment. Clay and firing costs are included.
